THERAPEUTIC HYPOTHERMIA CENTERS

The CINN group, through its vast experience acquired over the years of study on this topic, proposes to create Therapeutic Hypothermia Centers, providing all logistical, scientific, didactic support, as well as theoretical and practical training in the management of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy, in addition to the diagnosis and management of its complications.

The idea of creating Therapeutic Hypothermia Centers is to form, in its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a reference place in the care of newborns with neonatal asphyxia, with all the necessary support.

In this way, this Center would be able to receive patients from its own service, as well as patients from other services who may need such therapeutic care, as we know that there is an approximate period of 6 hours from the diagnosis of asphyxia at birth, until it starts hypothermic therapy, with enough time to remove the newborn from the place of origin until its service is already installed and ready to receive it.

This Center would support other hospitals in your region, or even cities that are satellites of yours, requiring only patient transport.

Description of equipment and services included in the formation of Therapeutic Hypothermia Centers  :

1. A NEONATFLOW equipment with a 12 month factory warranty.

2. An aEEG Icelera equipment (integrated amplitude electroencephalogram)

3. Training of the entire medical and paramedical team, in person or online, managing a package of 9 classes, as specified:

PRE TEST

a - A new technology in newborn care

b - Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) in Neonatology

c - Therapeutic Hypothermia

d -Treatment of EHI complications

and - Neonatal Neuroprotection Strategies

f - Care of asphyxiated newborns in the delivery room

g - Reading and interpretation of aEEG

h - Discussion of clinical cases of EHI and management of Therapeutic Hypothermia.

I - Videos with testimonials from former patients and their parents

POST TEST

1. On-site training, after delivery of the equipment, for proper handling

2. Supervision by our team for case discussion and remote assistance in interpreting the aEEG  during business hours

In the creation of these Therapeutic Hypothermia Centers, we provided, through a lending contract, for a period of 15 months (amounts to be established when signing the contract), NEOATFLOW equipment with a 12-month factory warranty and aEEG Icelera equipment with factory warranty 15 months.

After this 15-month period, at the end of the contract, the equipment described will permanently belong to its units.

The equipment does not include a computer with a Windows system connected to the internet, a video camera, a capture card, a transport rack for the entire aEEG system.
